Castaways RV Resort & Campground

This place is great. Definitely Plenty to do for the kids and the adults. Sites are spacious and level. All of the staff that we encountered were friendly and helpful( Andy, Jen, Phil, and Jonathan)The store is nicely stocked. We were unable to rent a golf cart because they were all reserved, but that didn’t matter because Dave Mutter (unofficial mayor of Castaways) took myself and all my girlfriends out for rides on his golf cart. Andy (maintenance) and his wife were great site neighbors. Loved the tiki bar, the beach, and seeing all of the carts decorated for Halloween. We stayed October 23-25, 2020 in cottages 5 and 6. Can’t wait to come back and bring my family.

Good food, great coffee and excellent frozen drinks. The reason I gave 4 stars is all the golf carts. Way too many of them flying around the campgrounds.

We have been coming to castaways for several years now.But the trash dumpster has caused some concerns about multiple people throwing away their trash. Which took away from our privacy and also bothered my pet. All the traffic of people has made it uncomfortable to relax. And not to mention the smell from the dumpster and the load noise from trash truck. Which would arrive early in the morning. We stayed in cottage#1 two years in a row. Last year it was great. This year not at all.nnWell I guess that the owners only respond to positive reviews.

Very nice, some people driving golf carts really need droving lessons on pedestrian safety. People cut through our camp site like it was a path, one large group came through at dinner time. I highly recommend castaways, lots of families and pleasent feel. A few things kept in check would be great.

Visited some friends this afternoon at this amazing location! This is a wonderful time of year at this camping resort because of all of the Halloween decorations the people have lit up at night at their campsites. It was very festive with kids giving out candy to people passing by.
