Kampoeng Baron Art Resort Restaurant and Guesthouse

My friend and I stayed in Kampoeng Baron Art Resort for two days and one night. The place had a very artistic vibe. Those who would like to enjoy a very quiet and peaceful holiday and at the same time enjoy nature should definitely give this place a try. Pantai Baron is just a 10 minutes walk from the resort. The room was very clean and comfortable. I loved the semi private shower concept which meant you could enjoy nature while taking a shower (just the roof, not the entire shower place). The owner was a very sweet man. On our first day at the resort, the workers welcomed us with complementary tea/coffee and freshly made banana fritters. Mas Doni, one of the workers there was very kind to us throughout our stay. We ordered ayam goreng & nasi (fried chicken and rice) for lunch. It was a little on the pricey side but the portion was big and it tasted good. The sambal bawang was nice. For breakfast provided by the resort, we could choose between the Indonesian or American breakfast. We chose the American breakfast which consisted of toast with butter/jam, tea/coffee, fresh fruit juice, screambled egg, smoked beef and fruits. The food portion was just right and it tasted really good. Overall we had a very good experience at the resort and are eager to come back soon.

Nice place to eat.

I had been there twice. The first, the service was very good bcs it was breakfast time. Not many customers. So we were pleased as if we're their super guests. But on the second, the service was poor.

A little bit pricy.. but they serve a good meal.. and they have uniqùe enviroment

We have finally found a place where we can eat decent food in Gunung Kidul. The place is eccentric with lots of paintings everywhere. The food suits our tastebud - fresh and homecooked. We didn't stay at the Guesthouse but would love to the next time we visit Gunung Kidul. The owner is super nice and friendly. Pricewise is a bit high ( i.e. expensive) but is hard to find fresh seafood in Gunung Kidul when we were there even though is near to the sea ( maybe due to the high tide ) . Overall would recommend this place for anyone needed fresh homecooked meal in Gunung Kidul.
