This hotel is valuing the scenery. Up from the balcony, the indulgent Takengon Lake is right in front of you. The food is quite delicious...ayam kari was surprisingly soft to the bone. The surrounding was not very clean though and it seemed the workers were not sufficient as we took quite long time when ordering boiled noodles

Our institution held a 3-days meeting at this hotel. They have a quite-big meeting room. The view around the hotel is amazing. But, the building was not set up well. The toilet was not able to use. The room rate was too high.

The grand hotel is not so grand. Our first room was not clean with hairs on the floor and in the bed and insects by the windows. Very small for a superior room, no basic things like loo paper and soap; and once moved our next one had ants. The irony is the view is spectacular outside the window of the lake and hills, yet they havent removed the black codes written all over the windows from when they were installed. The hotel could be so amazing, yet there is so many shoddy decisions and poor quality craftsmanship. Way overpriced for what it is. If we had paid half the price, we wouldn't be sharing the above necessarily, because when you pay 800,000 IDR for one night, you expect a nice room!
