Really charming owners and clean, comfortable rooms. Several good and recommended restaurants are in the neighborhood so you don't have to worry about being hungry in Gokhon Guesthouse.nThey also rent quite new scooters and helmets which is the ideal way to discover Samosir Island.nAt the time we were there they were building two new apartments in the garden which looked really nice as well.nWould choose this guesthouse again upon my next stay at Samosir!

Very very nice educated people managing this place! The view here is great, its very peaceful and silent and has good internet in case you want to do some work. Clean and spacey. Motorcycles for rent. Laundry service. All you need :) It even has a library/book exchange! Amazing :) would stay here again!

What an amazing place to stay. The jetty dropped us directly to the place and i was extremely impressed with how clean and close to the lake the guesthouse was.nnPros: hot showers, clean, good wifi, Kettle provided upon request, amazing views of lake toba, local eateries walking distance.

Very clean guest house with balcony and beautiful views.nnStaff is helpful friendly and well organized. Laundry and scooter rental is possible for reasonable prices. (Scooter for 100k per day)nnDon't expect hotel service or a perfect shower. Hot water is available but sometimes a bit unreliable.nnPrices for accommodation seem average for the provided facilities.

It's very basic. A nice clean room to rest in between your excursions at Samosir. Fairly new building. Hot water is definitely a great extra for such a budget place. Plenty of restaurants around. Good lake view. Recommended for backpackers or those who only need a place to rest.
