I made a One Day trek alone with a guide. First I wasn't sure about it because I am a 19 year old female solo traveler. I came to Bukit Lawang at 9pm and the Guides picked me up at the bus station to bring me to their guest house for a welcome drink and a short briefing. That was really nice and I felt really safe with them. They really cared about me, brought me to my Hotel and picked me up there for the trek. So I went alone with a guide to the jungle and it was very nice, he had lots of knowledge, showed me lots of things and I felt very safe there. They provided very nice food with lots of fruits. It was off-season so there were not many tourists in bukit Lawang. We have been very fast at the trek so after it two guides showed me and another tourist the market without charging more. I just can say it was a very nice experience and I can really recommend it.

We had a great time on our 1 day hike1 night in the jungle adventure. Being over 50 years old I was a little apprehensive, the guides took great care of us. We walked at a pace that suited us. We saw 9 Orangutans in total. Various other creatures & monkeys.nIt was very steep walking up & down. I was glad we had just the 1 day walking. The tubing back to the village was so much easier & fun.nThe camp toilet area needs to be rethought. The smell is terrible & it can't be good for the jungle.

Wanna meet urang utan? Meet them here at Bukit Lawang. Easy route trekking and surprisingly the orang utan stand up close by to us

Amazing experience! The staff from Bukit Lawang Jungle Trekking is the best. The guides speak fluent English and always make sure you have fun and be save during the trek. They also provide you with a a lot of tasty food and information about the jungle and its inhabitants. I felt more then welcome there and will definitely come back.

It was an amazing experience with orangutans. You can see them in there natural habitat. They are really friendly. I guess they got use to visitors. You can’t feed them but I think ppl feed them anyway bc they are coming really close to you. Every visitor had a guide who comes with you and explain what you can or can’t do. The orangutans were following us probably they were waiting for some threat. It’s about 3 km walk in the jungle and at the end it takes you to the river. It’s a beautiful crystal clear water mountain river. You can swim in there. You can do rafting that’s the fastest way back to the city.
