Sasono Hinggil Dwi Abad

Once become one of two Throne Halls (Siti Hinggil), this place once known as The South Throne Hall (Siti Hinggil Kidul), later rebuilt and has been launched during 200th Anniversary of the City Establishment Day in 1956.nnMainly used as the place for His Royal Highness or his representative to see the military rehearsals before the actual day of parade began, now it hosts the martial arts activities, as well as wayang puppet show in the midnight.nnFaces south and resides in the north side of the South Plaza (Alun-Alun Kidul), this building become central point of view entire the plaza. Also 500 metres away from the Gading gate (Plengkung Gading) which near to the BRT's portable stop, this place is accessible to the mass transport's users, with good pedestrian walk and culinary area between the Gate and the Plaza.

Nice buildings

One of the cultural heritages on the north side of Alun-alun Selatan, Jogja. The white building still stands majestically. Often it is used for various activities such as exhibitions, recitation, martial arts training, dance, marriage and shadow puppet shows.nnSasana Hinggil means high ground compared to the southern square. Formerly the Sultan often saw the activities of young warriors again practicing from here. But in 1956 the building was used for the public. Twentieth Century was the year where 200 years of commemoration of the Yogyakarta palace.nnNow in front of the Sasono Dwi Abad building on the right is a motorized parking lot. While on the left there are many decorative cars waiting for the queue of passengers. From the terrace of our building to the south we can see 2 banyan trees right in the middle of the square and the flashing lights of the decorative cars traveling around at night.nnIn the rainy season, at least this building can provide shelter. And on the right side, there is a toilet with an old building. At least visitors need not worry if they are dying to urinate.
