Latengaya Mount Batur view Bungalow

Overall was good, friendly staff, beautiful place, cheap prices but they don't have hot shower in that cold places. Can you imagine? 17° - 19°C without hot shower? I almost got frozen ud83eudd76

The view from every angle was epic. We could see Mt Batur from our King sized bed through 2 large windows and 2 swinging doors, that we’d leave open to enjoy the fresh air and nature sounds. We were close enough to explore hiking up Mt Batur safely on our own. All bungalows have a 360 view of mountain range, with sunset views from an open roof deck. Each unit has large balcony where delicious breakfast is served to your liking - can also eat in their lovely dark-wood finished dining area.nnWe moved here (a bit stressed) from another homestay in Kintamani that was closer to the lake in the busier area because of the unbearable hoards of flies closer to the water and farmlands. We wanted peace & quiet, with the affordable Balinese “luxuries:” hot water, A/C, pool, clean spacious room, comfortable bed, hot kettle with tea/coffee, drinking water, AND artistic attention to detail. We were relieved to find all this once we moved to Latengaya Mt Batur, in addition to good vibes thanks to the genuinely caring manager Made and receptionist Opik. (They were respectful, attentive, and gracious *without* the too-nice-to-be-true- tourist hustle, aka “hospitality”.nnI’m glad I didn’t see the review about no hot water, as it may have deterred my choice. The hot water was *Fine*. Perhaps it was just her room? We were celebrating my sons 11th birthday and our stay here ensured great memories.nnTwo things I especially appreciated: 1) the landscaping was perfect - everything had aesthetic value with zero clutter. 2) The pillows had an extra waterproof liner, which I have never seen (having stayed at 10 accommodations in this price range). The mattresses looked brand new. The stones in the shower were therapeutic for me, and easy enough to move to one side if the bare floor was preferred.nnThere are a few local eateries a 5 minute walk away, as well as a mini grocery store + fruit stand. The reception pointed us in the right direction. The road was very quiet at all hours of the day. We enjoyed on every level & felt relaxed/rejuvenated after our one week stay. Will definitely return. Had one night here in hopes of getting a few hours of sleep before doing the Mount batur morning hike. But you can hear everything inside the Rooms. Neighbours talking, constant music from the reception area, dogs, cocks etc.nnThe sink in the bathroom has No Connected plumbing, so the water Just runs down on the floor.nnThe people running the place However are truly kind and great. Helps with anything Needed.

This is a good place to be if you plan to climb the mount batur.nThe owner and his staf are really really focused on their customers and really friendly.We have to spend my wife and I two days there it was really good ! We met the owner who was really helpful and give us plenty of advises.Everyvody is really nice there.It's a guest house not too far for mount batur (10min by car) and can save you 1h of sleep.nMany thanks for everythingnGreetings from french friend !!

Overall a good experience. Friendly staff welcome'd us, place was neat and well maintained. Rooms were ok, bathroom could us more attention although very clean.nNo warung or restaurant in near area, quite the distance to look for some dinner. Be prepared.nWhen you go there definitely try the quads. Fair price for a 2 hour track through the surrounding village and the rugged area around the Mount Batur. Must trynI gave it four stars because this place is pretty new and dispite the minor flaws, the owners do their very best to make this place better. We recommend it and will go back there again....
