The Bengkulu Regional Development Bank was established on 9 August 1969 based on the Decree p.d. Governor of Bengkulu Province Number: 08/14 / EKU / 1969 which was ratified by the Minister of Home Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia by Decree Number: D-15-6.1.25 dated May 17, 1970.nnAfter making the required preparations, then with the Decree of the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia Number: Kep-102 / DDK / II / 4/1971, dated April 7, 1971 the Regional Development Bank started its business as a bank financial institution after its inauguration was opened by Governor M. Ali Amin, SH. with Commander IV Sriwijaya Brigadier General Satibi Darwis on April 13, 1971.nnFurthermore, in order to empower BPD to encourage economic growth in the regions through the development of small and medium-sized businesses, the government implemented a recapitalization program for BPD, including the BPD Bengkulu.nnBy paying attention to the banking conditions at that time, it was not good, so to improve the performance of PT. The Bengkulu Regional Development Bank has been included in the recapitalization. In connection with this, the Bengkulu BPD that follows the recapitalization program is required to change its legal form from a regional company to a Limited Liability Company (PT), namely PT. Bengkulu Regional Development Bank or abbreviated as PT. Bank Bengkulu with Irawan Notary's Deed No. 1 dated May 1, 1999. Subsequently a joint agreement was made between the Government of the Republic of Indonesia, PT. The Regional Development Banks of Bengkulu and Bank Indonesia on May 7, 1999. Investments in central government capital in the framework of the recapitalization program referred to Bank Bengkulu were completed in 2004 ago
