I did not expect this museum to be really big.nIt has 6 floors judging from the numbers inside the lift (I managed only until the 4th floor).nOn the first floor you can find a lot of collection of ancient statues, rocks and writing ranging back to the era of Majapahit empire.nAs you go up to the second floor, it will display some of the collection of bones and even skeleton of pre-historic life found in Indonesia.nThe third floor will display more about daily life accessories & clothing from various region of the country.nAnd on the 4th floor (please be aware that no camera or taking picture is allowed) and that is because this is probably the most expensive part of the museum : its displaying a lot of real ancient ceramics (believe me a lot of them) mainly from China.nAnd as you go to the other room you will find some of the real golds accessories origins from Indonesia.nThe place is indeed full of knowledge, beauty & wisdom about the history of Indonesia.nI would recommend everyone to visit this place to know more about this country and how rich this country is actually is.

The first museum I visited when I came to Jakarta!nnIt has a lot of interesting objects and stories about Indonesia that you will definitely find interesting. I like all those big statues from temples, look so magical and ancient and a bit scarying as well :).nnthey have tour and guide as well and there are a few floors you can explore. I like the story about Indonesia's ancient kingdoms and some of their remnants.nnDon't miss it when you are in Jakarta.nnYou can reach this place using taxi, online taxi and Trans Jakarta Bus. Stop at National Museum or Museum Gajah or Museum Nasional. The ticket is also cheap, I forgot how much though.

If you want to know more about Indonesia, this is obviously one of the places you have to visit. They've got relics, statues and many other ancient things of this country, more than you can imagine. The place is so huge, that you can tire yourself exploring the first floor until the fourth floor, but don't worry they also provide some benches to rest your feet. Moreover, it only cost you 10 thousands rupiah if you're foreigner and 5 thousands rupiah if you're Indonesian. What's even better is unlike some other museums in Jakarta, all the floors have got air conditioners on them, so it's not hot there.
