A school is defined by many criteria, but the most important one is the quality of its staff. We did not agree on many subjects with one staff, Joel Mangin, and found his attitude to be troublesome. We do not, therefore, consider this school to be one we might plan for our child.

I am an ex-student. Everyone's so friendly, all the facilities are so nice, and I liked the school's curriculum.

It is a good reputable school in Jakarta. It is a school with international curriculum (Cambridge and IB DP) and has a good community as well.

Attended this institute a few years ago. The education at this institute is so incredibly sub par, you'll wonder what the thumping fees you pay actually contribute towards. First, the exams. The Cambridge International Exams (CIE) are conducted by teachers that are not at all qualified (Except for Mathematics and Science, where I recall my teachers were qualified). They would not have any clue what to teach you as they don't follow a prescribed syllabus but in fact, they work more like a university where one teacher dreams up a syllabus at the spur of the moment (Very much the case for subjects like Humanities and Bible Studies). Which should actually be a good thing but what distinguishes SPH from a University is that the teachers writing up your syllabus are 80% of the time not qualified. Secondly, Racism. As a South Asian I faced so much of this where teachers would randomly assume my country and/or my competency in the English Language and made several attempts to put me into an ESL (English as a Second Language) Group. Thirdly, lack of ethics. While the school does hide behind some form of religious ethos, it is overwhelmingly extreme in view and assuming that this would actually be okay, it would be hypocritical when the school itself charges so much money but puts in 1/10th the effort to design a good curriculum. Benefits? there are of course some. For instance, the cleanliness of this school is great. The Cafeteria is well stocked. Furthermore, depending on which campus you go to, there will be a chance for you to express your interest in the performing arts. Fully air-conditioned class rooms so there are actually places where you can see your money being utilised but academically, not so. I made some decent friends here so my experience isn't entirely negative however the academic quality of teaching at this school was quite alarming!
