Very quiet, at least this visit being late in the season. Site was large and with pets, ideal. Enjoyed walking around the grounds. Staff were friendly. Planned events, coin search was entertaining and fun watching the children searching. Fall was truly present throughout the grounds; could have been tidier. Looking forward to visit again.

This is a great location! Neighboring campsites were a bit noisy with lots of people and dogs but other than that I would have given it 5 stars. It is across the street from access to hiking trails at Rocky Neck State Park. The trails take you past a river and to the beach. With Covid beach closures this was great! Plus you get a beach pass to 3 area beaches. It is close to so many things, Foxwoods with a zipline, Mystic Seaport Museum, Fishers Island and great food. I never thought that a CT vacation could be so good. We thoroughly enjoyed it and this was a great base camp!

The staff was absolutely amazing. The firewood we bought was a bit wet, later in the evening when they stopped to check in on us they noticed, they brought us drier wood at no cost. They brought the kids candy, and made it a positive and fun environment- even when they were correcting people for breaking the rules- like teens riding bikes when it was dark out. I loved the balance of the fun, friendly environment and how they approached the guests to enforce rules in such a kind way. John is seriously the best! One of the campers had parked a bit in the road and the turn for us to get out would have been a bit sharp for us newbies to pass comfortably- he ran up and asked the camper to move and helped us navigate the turn. We only stayed a night so I can’t comment too much on the grounds, but we will definitely be coming back.

The location is great there's plenty of trees it's close to Rocky Neck very close to Old Lyme which is beautiful and so is Niantic. The prices are fair. Some of the sites are very nice but most of the best ones are reserve for seasonal campers as probably most parks.nnThere are a lot of seasonal campers there that have a lot of stuff at their site which makes it look kind of like trailer trash because it seems like there are no rules about how much stuff and what type of stuff you have to display for everyone when they drive by.nnThe service is decent. They are available to help when you are getting set up as well as monitoring the area for wrongdoers. The speed limit is only 5 miles an hour throughout the whole Campground. You will be reprimanded and possibly kicked out if you go 6 mph or higher.nnThere are a lot of dogs the property and there is a fire engine that comes around often to take children for rides and turn the siren on all over the park it is quite annoying but it is the one with the best price around here so you have to put up with the fire engine siren to get a good price.nnIf you ask me if the staff was friendly and courteous if I were to answer that truthfully I wouldn't want to say mean and nasty things about people but friendly and courteous is not a requirement for being on staff although probably the majority of their staff Is friendly and professional. But I wouldn't let that deter you from this park because as long as you follow the rules no one will bite your head off make sure you know what the rules are and make sure you follow every single last rule every minute of every day while you are there.nnThere is a small pet park with a bench.nThe best thing this park has going for them is the location and the price.nnOh by the way there are a lot of potholes and large rocks that you will have to drive over to get to almost any site once you get to the site you will be fine but your front end might not be. Not so great for cars but large sport utilities and RVs can handle the bumps with no problem.nnNiantic in Old Lyme are two of the most beautiful towns in all of Connecticut don't let little things cause you not to come here There are so many spots in this area where everyone can enjoy the beautiful Marsh areas inlets ponds and Long Island Sound. It's also not as congested as some vacation areas.nnThis is where Lyme disease originated and if you go walking I recommend to stay on the path and stay away from tall grass and overgrown brush . Keep your eye out for wildlife, the water views, the sunsets and sunrises. I hope you enjoy Connecticut and our beautiful coastline.
