Amazing guided trek up to Ijen carter, highly recommend. Our guide was knowledgable, enthusiastic. Made sure we were safe and had fun at the same time. Tough trekking up but well worth it.

Java Adventure Trail organized a wonderful trip for our family that brought us through Surabaya, Ijen, and Bromo among many other places. The tour manager Soyfan provided clear information (ie. what was included and not included) and was great at communicating via email to make sure everything went smoothly once we agreed on an itinerary. Our tour guide Albert was knowledgeable, informative, and friendly. We especially enjoyed his sense of humour and his efforts to ensure we had the best experience possible (even down to stopping at a local market to pick up ingredients for a home-cooked dinner during our excursion to Sukamade!). Accommodations were clean and restaurant stops were chosen well to ensure that we got to experience tasty local fare while still keeping the option open for western items (and had good food standards to ensure we wouldn’t get sick). The long drives were hair-raising due to Indonesian traffic but the experienced driver and his clean, air-conditioned car ensured that we arrived on time and safely. Overall, we really enjoyed our time in Java and would highly recommend Java Adventure Trail!

Great travel agent for your companion in Indonesia

Java Adventure Trail is a good tour coordinator in Java. We called on them having time constraints and great distances to cover with particular sites to see (Bromo and Ijen, 3J / 2N). On the point of punctuality and coordination, Java Adventure Trail did a flawless. The guide who accompanied us, Andre, was young and dynamic, always helpful and polite (thanks Andre). Only downside: the accommodation reserved for the two nights. The first was ok (near the ijen), but the second was more than insufficient for the price we had paid: a poorly insulated homestay, without water or electricity for several hours on arrival, without a sink, and with cold water (not disturbing in indonesia, but in the mountains it is difficult ..). Fix these points well beforehand with Sofyan and the experience will be great.
