The National Museum of Transmigration located at Jalan Ahmad Yani, Bagelen Village, Gedong Tataan, Pesawaran, is one of the places to capture the history of transmigration in Indonesia and was built to record the traces of transmigration trips in Indonesia, particularly recording and museuming the methods of production of transmigrants. Standing on an area of 20 hectares (originally 5.4 hectares), there are many platforms that represent trasmigation areas. Built since 2005, and finally opened in 2010, in the beginning, the Transmigras Museum has several platforms. One of them is the Lampung bridge. This is not only because Lampung is a host for transmigrants, but also because Lampung residents used to be also local translocators or transmigrants.nUpon arrival at the museum gate, visitors will be faced with a magnificent two-story building with a shiny Siger symbol on the top of the veranda, the outside of the yellowish-white building is decorated with Lampung elephant ornament which is united with distinctive Javanese carvings at the entrance, a classic atmosphere feels when we step into the museum.nThe Transmigration Museum now has around 254 collections. Collections in this museum, including carpentry tools, household equipment, agricultural equipment, kitchen equipment, art tools, fishing gear, photos of documentation, traditional clothing, and Balinese music. In this museum there are also 11 platforms, namely platforms from Bali, East Java, West Nusa Tenggara, East Nusa Tenggara, DI Yogyakarta, DKI Jakarta, Lampung, Banten, West Java, Central Java, and Suriname. All the platforms except Suriname and Lampung are the areas of origin of transmigrants.nNow this museum is open to the public:nMonday-Thursday, 8:00 a.m. 2:00 PM WIBnFriday, 08.30-14.30 WIBnSaturday-Sunday, contact the manager
