Magnificent experience..nSatonda island was once a prehistoric gigantic volcano that greatly erupted creating a caldera that becomes a salt water lake of Satonda.nThe island was actually only the tip of the humongous volcano.nThe lake is also called Motito'i in local Bima language meaning the little sea.nAwesome..

An amazing place. Swim in the salt lake caldera which is about 5 minutes hike inland. The water is flat and warm, and if you swim to the middle, you might just become one with everything. Don't forget to hang a rock and make a wish. Snorkeling/diving (outer reefs) is unparalleled. Fruit bats fly silently overhead at dusk.
