Manulalu Bed and Breakfast

We stayed at the tent and it was beautiful. You get everything you need, cozy tent, refreshing outdoor shower and a stunning view. The stuff is super nice! There is a restaurant as well, the food is tasty but a little bit pricey.nnThanks for having us!

The place itself is quite nice, view is amazing. What we did not like is that there was always confusion regarding responsibilities of the staff. Especially when it comes to transportation. We had to talk to four different persons to get a ride to Bajawa.

A beautiful spot in bajawa.. the villa is clean and spacious.. keep in mind that you are staying in the middle of the forest.. bugs and insects are part of the experience and the view is stunning

Such a peaceful and beautiful place, we stayed for 3 nights in the tent and we loved it, it's comfortable, and you got a big bad and a good outdoors shower with a view, we enjoyed every moment there, and the stuff are king and helpful , made us feel like family. Dont miss this place

I would like to give 2 ratings as it is basically 2 different places. You have the old part with basic rooms uphill and the nice bungalows that you can see on pictures down the hill.nnThe old and not so nice part uphill has rather rustic rooms, no mosquito nets and a really bad smell of sulfur (coming from the volcano). You don’t want to stay here, unless your nose is blocked and you find it adventurous to cuddle with all kind of insects during the night.nnThe nice bungalows are what you see on the pictures. They are double the price but comfy and beautiful. This area is a bit further away from the reception and the restaurant which is inconvenient but if you have a scooter manageable (5 minute ride). Otherwise they will call a shuttle car for you, haven’t tried this out though because I had a scooter.nnThe location of Manulalu is very remote but therefore very peaceful. You will be overlooking The Valley around the volcano, only hearing nature. This also means if you don’t have a driver or a scooter you will have troubles going anywhere, so be aware of that. Bajawa is 30 minutes drive away but if you want to go to the traditional villages or the hot springs you are in the right area already.nnOverall if I don’t consider the old part with rustic rooms it is a good experience. The restaurant sometimes has live music in the evening which is very nice, the food is ok but a bit more expensive. It would be nice if they served breakfast at the bungalows instead of having to go to the restaurant but I assume it’s tough because of the distance.
