If you're looking for authentic Italian food, this place is where to go.nI tried their pizza and lasagna, serving up to 2 people. I loved the lasagna, the pasta sheet is so fresh it's homemade and the sauce is flavorful but not too much.nI also enjoyed the pizza, loving its smell and with hint of burned on the topping.nThe place is small but it feels like home. When I visited, it's only me and my friend.

One of gem place in Makassar. An authentic italian food. They carefully crafting the experience of eating in Italy. I have never been in Italy but this place gave me the experience and the food. Price is quite high but reasonable. We can pay by debit card. The parking area is not safe. We lost our 2 helmets in parking area. Bring your helmets inside.

Praise heaven! Makassar is not entirely at loss when it comes to Italian Food.nnI have never thought to find authentic Italian Food in this town (the closest one I thought would be PHD).nnThe place is small, but not in a bad/cramped way. More like petite cafe, with nice decoration. At the time of writing, they have already put Christmas Tree and played Christmas songs in the background.nnThe service is efficient, helpful staff. They even greeted us enthusiastically the moment we walked in. Well done!nnThe pasta is delicious, with decent portion size. The highlight, however, is their thin-crusted pizza. The flavour is balanced, with the toppings quite harmoniously of one another. Nothing too over-powering. Kudos to the chef. I can see him preparing food in the background too. That's a nice touch!nnIt is not the cheapest place in town. But I thought it is worth the price though, with the taste, the service and the nice touch of decoration of the cafe that they put up.nnWell done, La Piccola Italy! You just saved Italian cuisine in Makassar.

We were having a lovely time but it was spoiled by the not cleaned prawns in the risotto. Heads on, shell on ok not ideal but I can handle it. These prawns were totally intact, including the POOP.nI had already started peeling and carried on cleaning up the prawns but for 90,000rph for the risotto, I really think that's the chefs job.nI complained, got nothing just a 'I will tell the chef's, complained again when the bill came and was told that's how they come!nDisgusting!nI was then made to feel like I was in the wrong by the waitress.nWho served prawns with the guts still in in this sort of restaurant at this price point...nUpsetting, stressful and disappointing it totally ruined the evening.
