You get what you pay for, with 100000 for a basic twin room. The reception speaks serviceable English. It’s perfect for spending the night before travelling further, there are several ticket offices (bus “loket”) within a minute’s walk that will get you to Danau Toba, Medan, or Singkil.nnNote that there is no shower inside the bathroom, and that the entire room smells like musty mould. No air-conditioning but it is sub 20 degrees at night.nnPlenty of food, coffee, and durian nearby. In the town itself most people do not speak English, so have a dictionary handy.
