Mangrove Restaurant: Pool, Bar and Shisha Lounge

Wow, this restaurant is a great place to hang out and spend an afternoon or longer.nnThe menu is an eclectic well-curated mix of local and international dishes, well prepared to order and importantly, in a clean environment. I also commend them for using no plastic and many locally produced and organic ingredients in the dishes.nnThere’s a variety of seating so you can migrate from table to bar to the upstairs lounge to enjoy a Shisha smoke or rest with a book. I especially enjoyed hanging out at the end of the jetty with a drink watching the boats go by while laying in a hammock or sitting in a beanbag. There’s also a great pool for chilling with lots of lounge chairs and umbrellas.nnThe staff are friendly and let you have space and quiet but are always available to help you along with whatever you need and give you ideas for local dishes or unique drinks.nnOnce you go here, it will likely become your go-to spot in the Nusa islands.nnNote: I first visited in 2015 and since then, the menu was refined and the grounds are much more lush and lovely. I've stayed in the resort so enjoyed the house-made breakfast, as well as visiting many times just for the restaurant/bar/lounge.

My recommendation for this restaurant! The varied menu gives everything you could wish for. Both Indonesian dishes and Western dishes. Here, no wish remains open, special requests are fulfilled promptly. All dishes are fresh and delicious. And even after eating or without food you can stay there and chill out. The staff are nice and very attentive.
