Awesome but tough hike. Stunning views at the top. You'll need a guide to get there. And you need to be quite fit. The way up is tough, the way down a lot tougher! I consider my self to be reasonably fit, doing sports at least twice a week, but this was past my limits. Gave me quite a serious hip/groin injury that took months to heal. All loose rock, little grip and very hard to control your steps especially on the way down. Wouldn't recommend it if you never work out or are overweight. Otherwise, definitely go do it!

Beautiful hike with surreal views on top. Hike is not too long but it’s pretty tough as it’s very steep and slippery. You do need to be fit and have proper hiking shoes if you want to enjoy it. Also, don’t forget to bring warm clothes for the summit as it’s very windy and cold up there! I did the hike with Santos as a guide and it was incredible. He was super attentive and professional. Has done the hike hundreds of times. Offered to carry my bag multiple times. He speaks good English and is very knowledgeable, explaining so much about his region and culture (on the way down, there are some gardens and he even took the time to show me every plant/tree). He provided great service throughout - in fact, I was so happy with him that I did another 2 days with him as a guide to visit the area around Bajawa. Highly recommend Santos. Need a guide because the trail is not so clear. No trees so it will be very hot in the afternoon. Big wind around summit.
