All the temples are phenomenal but Angkor Wat one of the marvels of the world, just make sure you get to the top of the temple in good time to view the surroundings as we were a little rushed by the time we made it up there and couldn't quite soak in the spectacle of a massive temple being in a jungle. Also, feel there should be a tribute/recognition to the people, most likely slaves who built the place.

Magnificent wonder of human achievement. It is a vast complex. One day is not going to be enough to explore all. Should have avoid visiting during hot dry summer season. The heat was sometime unbearable even while walking under the canopy of equally ancient trees . and just being inside the ruin may provide a brief cool respite.

Amazing place! A truly magical experience at Angkor Wat. We rode bikes through the whole area over a very full day. Sunrise was amazing! Siem Reap also has excellent nightlife with lots of bars and restaurants. Really loved this trip!

As the best-preserved temple at the site, it is the only one to have remained a significant religious centre since its foundation. The temple is at the top of the high classical style of Khmer architecture. It has become a symbol of Cambodia,[6] appearing on its national flag, and it is the country's prime attraction for visitors.

Exploring a completely empty Angkor was such an unique experience. There is really no doubt that this cultural and historical site around Siem Reap is one of the most important archaeological sites in the world. It's amazing to see how Angkor Wat was designed as a Hindu temple dedicated to the god Vishnu. It gradually turned into a Buddhist temple towards the end of the 12th century and is still used for worship today.
