Frontier Town Campground, Equestrian and Day Use Area

Exceptionally clean, well taken care of, well managed by staff. Strict compliance enforcement on generator hours, which we appreciate. Hiking trails are groomed and easy. Playgrounds are still under construction but very nice already. Very kid friendly. Very pet friendly, EVERYONE had at least one dog. Most campers are respectful and quiet. There are always the few exceptions, no matter where you go.nnThe only detraction is due to people that don't respect the land, small amounts of things like wrappers and beer cans. The staff have a hard enough time keeping up with making sure the bathrooms are super clean during a pandemic. In my opinion it's people that come from city life, asking where all the garbage cans are that end up leaving things like this strewn about because they are used to having people pick up after them.nnOverall, this is the NICEST state/DEC campground we have ever stayed in and will be back every year if they are able to maintain the level of cleanliness we experienced this year. We're from here, and love it here. Great job staff!!! Thank you for all you do.

Very clean campground with the newest facilities of any DEC-run site we've been to. We stayed in the Prairie Junction Loop and the sites all have plenty of space between them, with natural barriers for privacy. We will definitely be back next year!

Beautiful park, nice sties. They are definitely are focused on primitive camping, very few rv sites, no water hookups. Bathrooms are good and clean, but hot water is lacking in demanding times. Lots of good site seeing around.

Amazing campground, camp sites could be bigger but overall would highly recommend staff was supper friendly and there is a gas station down the road with ice and ect. The showers where clean. Some camp spots are open on the road and others are alittle more tucked away but not to much privacy but it looks like the they are working to it woth new trees planted that in years to come will grow big and the sores will be privet. I loved it went with a group of friends
