Summit Lake Campground

We came the day after it closed for the season. This is a beautiful place to camp. We want to sell our RV and buy a tent or small camper and go here soon.

Camped at both North and South campground. South was very nice, pretty shaded, and quieter in my opinion. We stayed right next to the lake and it was amazing. Our site was fairly sloped though and not the best for tenting. North was much flatter but we were back a bit from the lake. All sites have fire rings and you can collect downed wood for fires which beats paying $11 for a box at the camp store. No electric, only water spigots around the campground. Worked out pretty good though.

Stayed in campsite c1 in the south loop. Was a great campsite with plenty of flat spots. The campground itself was beautiful and close to the lake. Set up our hammocks near the water and enjoyed our time in lassen.

It is a big campground. Not all sites are great so arrive early so you can score a larger, flatter spot.

The water was perfect for swimming and there is plenty of camping ground for everyone. Loved it
