Huckleberry Campground

The hosts at this campground are super friendly and do a great job maintaining the area. The best smelling bathrooms that you'll find. Great place to camp on the Joe for a minimal cost

Excellent camping area very quiet. There is a leashing rule that some people don't follow so if you got small dogs be aware of that. Great fishing spot, hiking area, and tubing

Excellent location for off road riding, fishing, swimming etc. Log trucks very noisy starting about 3:45 am to 4pm M-F. The camp hosts were wonderful folks and kept the place clean. Good combination of sun and shade in most sites.

We are tent campers who like a lot of quiet and privacy, so this campground wasn't a good fit for us and we didn't stay there. We did stop and have a picnic there. Its a great place for families with RVs and/or kids - there is plenty of space for kids to ride bikes and play in the river. The bathrooms are super clean and there is wifi. On the downside, there are few trees, so it seems too hot and exposed for us. Highway traffic is loud. But, if you have an RV or at least a sun shade and want space for the kids to play, this could be a great spot.

Campground is awesome and well maintained! People that complain about the logging trucks on the highway early in the morning need to NOT stay on the St Joe anywhere!! Logging is a way of life in this area!
