Double J Campground

This place was great. Grounds kept up very well. Lots of room for dogs. Other campers very friendly! Easy access to and from the interstate. Bathrooms were very clean. Goofy golf was a very hard course! First time out with our new RV, and we will go back.

Double J Campground is awesome! A friend of my husbands invited us to spend the day on his boat at Lake Springfield so we googled campgrounds in the area and found this one. Talk about a gem of a place to stay! We loved it so much that we even spent an extra day here.nThe camping sites are big rig friendly as we have a 42 foot Jayco Pinnacle. The sites are well-maintained and for the most part very shaded. This campground is surrounded by cornfields so you feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere but yet the closest town for groceries and gas is only 5 miles away.nWe have a small dog with us and they have a very large nice dog park here that my dog absolutely enjoyed. This campground is also very kid friendly. They have putt putt, shuffleboard, a swimming pool, volleyball, a playground and a covered picnic area.nWe cannot say enough about how nice his campground is. We will definitely be back!

Very neat and tidy campground. We only stayed 1 night and pulled in after dark. Very organized after hours check in. Site was easy to find, pull through and level. Nice dog run area. Quiet and peaceful, would like to come back when we can stay longer. Close to all the Lincoln sights .

Great location and all around nice place. This is a great campground if you want to spend some time exploring Springfield. The staff is so nice and helpful, the property is manicured, and with a pool, shuffleboard, mini golf, volleyball, playground, etc. there is plenty to keep the kids entertained. We enjoyed our stay!

Clean and spacious, besides being in Illinois, it's a good place to be. It is 5 plus miles to get anywhere, and 300' from a busy interstate. Ask for a site further away from the highway and expect a half-hour round trip to do most anything away from the park. But separation is sometimes a good thing.
