Amankila

This is a beautiful resort. Edward Tuttle was a genius. I enjoyed the private cooking class held by the sous chef of the resort. The quality of dishes served in the restaurant are great. The reason why I rated it 3 stars? Our experience at Amankila was not as great as the ones we had at Amandari, Amansara or Aman Venice...etc. The service quality was okay but not as impressive as the other Aman resorts. I would have rated it 5 stars if this resort was managed by Four Seasons. Amankila is still a nice place resort but definitely not a place for an authentic Aman experience.

Surely the most intimate place on the east of Bali. Love to stay here. It would be perfect if this place is dog friendly :) But their service is amazing! Beyond our expectation! Super well maintain property.

Wow, amazing. Comfortable complementary transport to and from the airport makes the extra distance to reach the seclusion and tranquility of the resort well worth it. The architecture and landscape are incredible. Food was great. Would return.

Was disappointed at first by the concrete structure clashing with the natural surrounding and lack of some basics you would expect in such a hotel, like electric kettle and tea in the room, poor choice in the minibar and charged separately. By the way the minibar station is located between the toilet room and the shower, strange choice of positioning a minibar. Local staff is kind and very well trained, although quite distanced (so distanced you’re not sure if they are listening to you) in the main restaurant. We had a bonfire dinner at the beach and it was a very nice atmosphere.

Wow. This place is stellar. Gorgeous villas with beautiful carved wood interior. Amazing view. Food was some of the best Indonesian food I had in Bali. The breakfast was crazy good as I got to try a bunch of different items. This is definitely five star. The villas are on the cliff and have access to the beach. Staff were great.
