A good place for Fieltrip and studying Geology the historical of this place. Beautiful panorama in slope of Mt.Sindoro. Parking area is available

reportedly this is an ancient city of civilization which is allegedly larger than Borobudur, it may be true because the city must be large and many inhabitants, or maybe this is a rural area, do not assume that although it looks like a rock the sophistication of the technology of the former is more advanced than ever until now

The ancient settlement of the Mataram kingdom which was buried by volcanic ash from Sindoro was discovered by sand miners. Historic site restored by Central Java Cultural Heritage Preservation Hall (BPCB). In this place, we can find tirta, yoni, lingga and wooden houses that become ashes.

This site was found in 2004. Starting as sand mining, some archeological statue was found and further exploration reveals a worshiping site. This area consist of several bedrock platforms used by ancient people from 600 A.D to do spiritual activities and believed that vanished due to Mount Sumbing eruption
