Mesjid Raya Tanjung Bingkung, which was founded in 1928, has now been completely renovated. Although undergoing renovations, the old architecture of the mosque still maintains the mosque style in Turkey and Saudi Arabia which is rich in reliefs and ornaments.nnMesjid Raya Tanjung Bingkung, Solok Regency is one of the mosques in Solok which is famous for its antique architecture and historical value. This mosque was founded in 1928 and completed in 1932, at first the mosque building was still semi-permanent but is currently under renovation.nnThe Tanjung Bingkung Mosque, which stands on the waqf land, was completely renovated considering that the mosque building has begun to rot with age. The Tanjung Bingkung Mosque building has a unique architecture because it refers to Turkish and Arabic architecture which is rich in reliefs and ornaments. The architecture of the main mosque of Tanjung Bingkung was made by Syech Machdoem when he returned from studying for 10 years in the regions of Egypt and Saudi Arabia,nnMeanwhile, it is known that the founder of the Syech Machdoem Mosque is better known as Angku Junguik, the son of Angku Kapalo Inyiek Datuak Rajo Alam who at that time was the Head of Nagari Tanjung Bingkung. It is hoped that with the renovation of this old mosque, the existence of the mosque's function can be stronger in the community
