Islamic Centre Kabupaten Solok

The construction of this mosque was carried out during the reign of Solok Regent Syamsu Rahim and Deputy Regent of Desra Ediwan. This magnificent mosque was first built in 1994 in the old Solok Regent Office complex, inaugurated by Minister of Information Harmoko in 1994. Koto Baru Islamic Center Kubung District, Kab. Solok, West SumatranWhen the Office of the Solok District Head moved to Aro Suka, then the existence of the mosque was utilized by the local community for religious activities. The mosque suffered severe damage due to the past 2007 and 2009 earthquakes so it was not suitable for use.nAfter rehab a little condition is still doubtful. Only in 2013 did the Ministry of Religion propose to the Regent of Solok that the construction of the new Islamic Center which is an icon of Solok Regency be completed with LPTQ facilities, PHBI, BASNAS, MUI which are complete including plans to hold a mini MakkahnThe Ministry of Religion's proposal was well responded by the Regent of Solok and was granted by the DPRD, so it was immediately budgeted by the Regional Government for APBD 2014. The Islamic Center built with APBD funds was established in the former Solok Nan Indah meeting building, the former DPRD building in Solok Regency and the Mosque Agung Nurul Mukhlisin.nPhysical development which began since mid-2014 was carried out by PT. Indya Karya with a multi-year contract system. In addition to demolishing old buildings, this new development also sacrificed the DPRD building which was then functioned as a BPD office and Regional Library office.nAfter nearly eight months of physical work, the building was inaugurated on July 30, 2015, at the end of Syamsu Rahim and Desra's tenure which fell on August 2, 2015. There are similarities in the current mosque with the previous mosque which was damaged by the earthquake, namely when they were inaugurated -has one hundred percent physical finish.

The mosque is nice, big, relieved, the air is always flowing, so healthy and fresh. But like that, the main room on 2nd floor, is rather troublesome for parents, pregnant women or mothers who bring their children. There is no elevator or escalator yet.
