My favorite campground near my home! Beautiful and forested. Near beautiful Lake Michigan beaches. Without electric hookups, relatively quiet. The only downside is the highway noise.

Great location love it. So much to see and do . Showers are simply the best I've ever used at a campground. Would recommend for whole family. Lots of fun

First ever camping experience and boy was it fantastic! Secluded and clean area but enough people around to feel safe. Bathrooms and showers were clean and surprisingly well kept. I also had excellent cell phone service and the convienence store was right down the street! Highly recommend for couples or families!

Bathrooms 6/10nShowers 3/10nCampsite 7/10nnWe were also warned that ticks are a HUGE problem here & were told to check ourselves and all our belongings before packing up.nnBathrooms were clean. Showers were gross. We’ve been to plenty of campgrounds in the past and arent afraid of dirt but the showers were something else. There was mold on the curtains, lots of bugs and spiders in the corners and the water didn’t drain well so it just sat in the middle of room. Luckily we both had our shower shoes on. Definitely were very careful about where we placed our stuff in the showers.nnThe site was clean, gravely but we still slept well. It was nice having a private site with a bit of hill on the backside of our site. The fireflies were out so that was exciting watching them fly around.nnThe supervisors were also very friendly!! Everyone at the other sites were also very nice and respected quiet hours

This is a beautiful campground with great facilities. Wooded, mostly private sites, and an additional primitive walk-in section. Be aware that all night long there are freight trains blowing their whistles as they pass nearby. If you are sound sensitive, you might want to try some place else.
