This is a great campground. The facilities are clean and well maintained. We stayed on site 19 which has great creek access, the kids loved it. The sites are small and in many cases, close together. Site 19 does not have much privacy as 18 is right next to it with no vegetation separation. Also it was not clear from the reservation map that the site is directly across from the main entrance. However, between the creek access and the great staff/facilities giving five stars. Also, a 450 lb bear came though our campsite in the middle of the night.

Pros: Good bathrooms, quiet/backpacker feel, near/on stream (site 32 best stream-side, site 30 good too & bit larger), helpful staff, saw bear nearby.nnCons: Some sites tiny/poorly posiitoned. Recommend you check the youtube video someone posted showing each site (site 31 prob largest).

Great sites on the creek! It is nice to hear the water all night! We were at site 16 where you can walk down a little hill into the creek. I gave 4 stars because they did not have firewood for purchase, but maybe we remembered wrong? We had to travel 6 miles awat and spent $7.99 each bundle, so make sure you pick some up before you arrive.

The campground is really nice, the staff was friendly and helpful, it was quite and all the facilities like the bathroom, trash room and showers were kept really clean. We were at campsite 16 which had a lovely view of the creek and was the main selling point for me. The only downside to the campsite was that it was not as secluded as I thought. All the campsites are pretty close together and some are literally right off the road. I would suggest 16 as it is somewhat private and has a driveway that made it feel a little bit more secluded then some of the other sites. Another great aspect to this campground was the proximity to some hiking trails and how close of a drive it was into the town of Phoenicia. Definitely worth checking out if you like to hike and want a semi private but quite place to enjoy a good cup of coffee by the creek!
