Was the Galeri Keris/Keris Gallery/Keris Department Store from Puri Indah Mall’s opening (1997) until it’s 20th year of operation (2017). Closed late 2016 to make way for this eventual Metro Department Store, the first branch with the new and much more modern concept and facade. Finally opened late 2017, becoming the biggest Metro in Jakarta (over 100.000 sqm spanning two floors), since it took over several retail spaces in the GF in exchange of a small part of the former Keris in 1F still operating as the smaller Batik Keris boutique. It proved to be the most luxurious part of Puri Indah Mall, containing brands such as Aigner and Furla from the Trans Fashion collection (under the same CT Corp umbrella), and an extensive make up collection with brands such as Lancome and Chanel Beaute. Really brings back the glory days when it used to be the Galeri Keris pre-recession, which used to house brands like Bally and the Yves Saint-Laurent make-up and fragrance collection. Still well maintained up to this day, even has a more recently-opened LG/basement access. Another plus point is it still having the kids department and home department (the only Metro equalling this is Metro Gandaria City). And let’s not forget all the beautiful decorations and fixtures, which make it still one of my favorite looking department stores in Indonesia.
