Statesville / I-77 KOA Journey

Some freeway noise. That's acceptable. Site not level. Narrow, short site. We had to put a 43 ft. Class A with a Toad in a very short site. Not impressed. We are traveling with another couple. Asked for sites side by side. We ended up at the other end of the park. Come to find out there was a rig behind us who went in next to our friends who was shorter than us. How hard would it have been to put us with our friends and put the other rig in our spot? Also, there was an empty spot across from our friends. I guess it would have required too much effort to make changes on the computer. We mostly stay at KOAs because we know what to expect. This park is NOT indicative of a KOA. Not staying here, again.

Stayed here for two nights. Very noisy due to the location right next to I-77. Our site, C-71, was not level, and also flooded due to rain. We had to walk through 2 inches of water to enter or exit our trailer. We couldn't even sit out under our awning because of the standing water. Every other site that I could see was high and dry. I did call the office, but they weren't the least bit concerned that we did not have full use of our site. They could have st least offered a partial refund, but did not. Giving the impression that they don't care about their customer's concerns is not a good way to do business. I will never camp here again, and actually will probably avoid any KOA in the future.

We just left there it was a nice campground however there was a sewer smell that was so bad we couldn’t sit outside or keep our windows open. We were at site 30. I hope they fix it because it is a nice campground.

I believe it's the cleanest KOA I've ever stayed at. 2 nights we awoke to a earthquake no BS. August 9th around 820am. But if I complained about anything no ac in restroom/shower. Need more trees. Nice people clean facility and grounds.

My fiance and I call it our SECRET place.. We will definitely be coming back. We were simply looking for a place to just get away, and reenergize our relationship.. And everyone from the staff to the fellow campers were very kind and made us feel right at home.. We stayed in the cabins, and they were adorable.. Thanks KOA of Statesville
