Richmond North / Kings Dominion KOA Holiday

I loved this campground. The cabin was nice and clean. My husband and kids really enjoyed themselves. I invited some family and friends to come and they enjoyed it also. The price was reasonable , we'll definitely be coming back. The two bedrooms up on the loft was perfect for kids but short ceilings so kinda hard for adults.

Nice experience at this campground as a stop on our drive south. Close proximity to the highway but felt nice and secluded. Lots of tall trees, flat and paved site, and we weren’t parked on top of other campers even though it wasn’t at all crowded. We could faintly hear the train referenced in other reviews but it was not a nuisance at all. Currently the playground is closed due to COVID but otherwise no complaints.

If you’re looking for a quiet night under the stars, this is NOT the place to stay. Campers were incredibly loud. But not nearly as loud as the freight train that passes by (CLOSE BY - look at a map to see the tracks in relation to the campsite) in the wee hours. We packed up early due to no sleep.nnWould not stay here again.

Excellent campground! So nice and peaceful. The sites are nice. Facilities are nice and clean. It's our favorite spot to stay when we're traveling to Myrtle Beach. A++++

Our weekend spent here was great! Our family was here for the agricultural part of the state fair, which due to Covid-19 was drastically different this year. Most of our family was unable to attend in person but we were able to enjoy the amenities and atmosphere of the beautiful cabins at the KOA. And with being so close in proximity to Ashland and the Metro Zoo we were able to have a fun, relaxing weekend with family.nMy kids favorite part was the beautiful outdoor space our cabin had, with the nice patio, pergola, chairs and fire pit, we were truly able to enjoy our time together.
