Had a great stay! Affordable, clean rooms. Friendly and cheerful staff. Nice family atmosphere, with lots of kids running around. Sizable menu at reasonable prices. Jungle treks organized at the same rates as just about everywhere else in town. I would only ask that the trekking guides provide clearer information about how tough the treks will be, how many breaks, etc, so that the guests can customize their jungle time a little more. Still, I'd definitely recommend this place! Thanks to the whole staff and to our two trekking guides in particular. See you around!

Staff are very friendly and helpful! Our room was very acceptable for the price it was, it had a mosquito net and a fan. It was located right next to the river so there are good views from the restaurant and some rooms. Breakfast is not included but it’s too expensive and there’s a big menu.

Bob Rangkuti and his Mother and Staff made for a great stay in Bukit Lawang. The Guesthouse has a central location straight across a suspension bridge to put you on the Jungle side of the river. There are clean simple double or twin rooms and some larger bungalows, all right on the river with a great swimming hole for a quick cool down. We ate at the Wisma most nights, food excellent value and Bob organised our jungle trek with an enthusiastic and interesting guide Anto. Even though the Wisma attracts a young crowd, as older travellers we were looked after and felt we were staying and eating with friends.
