We have just arrived back from our jungle trek in Bukit Lawang, where we stayed at The Heritage either side of our trip. The hotel is basic but adequate considering its remote and jungle location! The staff were welcoming, and the food was pretty good. Fresh towels and hot water/AC was a big bonus, as I believe most of the lodges don't have this. the owner was very accommodating, especially when our room was not ready on our return from the trek, they let us use another room whilst making up ours. Good service and with a smile! The location was perfect for us and the river was stunning. A great backdrop, overall a good experience! I am sure if we return to Bukit Lawang that we will use this as a base.

Excellent place to stay in Bukit Lawang, friendly staff and humble owner, well-maintained building, value for money, and the taste of their foods was incredible especially their fish soup
