Kem Chicks

If you fancy a supermarket that’s sell a range of imported products and also local produces, not too crowded a place especially in the current pandemic situation, this probably the place to shop your groceries. It’s a clean, well organised supermarket, and their staff are friendly (at least I don’t see it’s staff standing in your way and busy yakking around in the aisle which usually can be seen at some mass supermarket.) Here are some of my views as to why I’m only rating this place a in between 2.5-star and 3-star for a high-end supermarket where customer service and experience does counts.nnIt has a fairly wide range of imported fruits - various berries, oranges, persimmons, pear, avocado. A wide range of cheese too and beverages, both bottled and packed ones.nnThe fresh meat section is rather limited of choices. There are chicken, market ones and free range version, beef, limited choice of lamb), another counter of pork sausages and ham. There’s a frozen section with limited meat, seafood and frozen pasta and pastry. With the fresh meat section, my qualms and a huge disappointment is that the way the chicken that I bought was cut. Have requested for a whole chicken to cut into 8 pieces but it turned out be an extremely inconsistent sizes; some small pieces and some very large pieces. Wonder how even Kem Chicks have an untrained person be manning the meat counter?nnFor other sections, there’s a local snacks, local spices and other produces, a range of imported pasta, cereals, baking needs, pots and pans including imported ones, and also other household products.nnIn terms of product prices, generally it’s pricing is higher than other supermarkets by at least 5-10% which probably i don’t mind paying the extra for the good customer service and experience provided it is delivered the way it should be.
