North Jakarta Post Office

The main building was closed and unmaintained, don't know if they are undergoing renovation or not. They moved to a smaller building almost next to it. No sign indicating this, I almost went back but good thing I asked nearby person about it. The experience at the post office itself was pleasant. The staff was courteous and able to answer my various questions.

The post office is located at a hard to reach area. The service is now slower than what it used to offer in the old days. The staff are mostly keeping to themselves with the least initiative to help visitors. The place has more than 13 service stations but only three are active most of the time. Coping with increasing competition, I guess the state owned company isn't doing very well.

The staff really unrespect, unhelpful, have a bad attitude, I plan to take money from WU, but the staff told me sorry we don’t do WU, because we have problem system,I ask where I can take for WU? The staff told don’t know, and I ask is it possible for tomorrow? The staff told i don’t know, and suddenly go away to leave me in front of counter, this girl/staff may have mentality problem, just wanna share about the service of the staff is really bad, really don’t know how to respect the customer

I don't have much experience with post office but I once visited this office to retrieve money from western union and didn't have any problem. The security guard was helpful. The office got the job done. But they could have shown some smile, though. They didn't smile to me.
