Bako National Park

Beautiful coast, lush nature, and cheeky wildlife at Bako National Park. The proboscis monkeys are amazing to watch. Also saw a beautiful bright green snake, well camouflaged in its bush.

It is a peninsula and a favourite spot for the tourists. Quite a number of animals are found in this peninsula such as bearded pigs, green vipers, probocis + macaque + silver leave monkeys, etc. Good place to do tracking and enjoy walking along the beaches. All the 7 types of mangroves in Sarawak are found here.

Bako National Park is a natural sanctuary for wildlife. I love that the moment when we arrived, we can see silver leaf monkeys, proboscis monkeys, a number of wild boars and macaques all in day one. The facilities here can be improved but the natural diversity of this place is amazing. I'll definitely come back again for a quiet getaway from the buzzing city.
