As for now (July 2020), the route inside is been renovated /.. So, it's a brisk 2km (or more) walk till you reach the centre.nnDo come before the feeding time because that's the only time you may catch a glimpse of the wild rehabilitated orangutan that lives freely throughout the park.nnAs they are focusing on conservation now, the orangutan are freed into the wild and there are around 35 of them recorded runs freely.

The orang utans are so smart and cute.

We were excited to go to Semenggoh Wildlife Center to watch the much advertised Orangutan feeding. Only after driving an hour to reach there and paying the ticket (and trekking 1 km inside) we came to know that there is no monkey except a few crocodiles. Because of the fruiting season, Orangutans have enough food in the wild so they rarely come to the designated feeding area. There was none sighted in the past week in the feeding area. They could have warned us when we were buying tickets. (visited December 2019).

Love this place so much. First time in my life watching orang utans here.

It's best to go at feeding time because that's when the orangutans came out. But it is not guarantee that they will come out. We are lucky cause we saw 3 orangutans.
