GKSBS WONOSARI

In 1939, a Christian husband and wife named Sastrosuharjo came to the Lampung area to be precise in the village of Wonsari. He comes from the village of Ngembes, Wonosari-Gunung Kidul. As a family who live in Christian faith, their desire to serve the Lord Jesus (through church services) is the main thing. However, it is said that at that time in Wonosari (Lampung) village, he had not found anyone who was a Christian, let alone a place of worship called a church.nEven so, Sastrosuharjo came to Wonosari (Lmapung) to be a pioneer sent by God to sow the seeds of God's Word and the Gospel, so that the South Sumatra Christian Church (GKSBS) Wonosari has been realized until now.nnA SMALL FOUNDATION WHICH BECOME THE FOREIGN OF GKL WONOSARInAfter some time the Satrasuharjo family lived in Wonosari, so they also came to the Pontjorianto [i] family's WOnosari who came from Sewugalur. Panjatan Kulon Progo District. The arrival of the Pontjoriyanto family was God's answer to Sastrosuharjo's longing to find brothers in the faith. Which in terms of age is indeed younger than Satrosuharjo.nnFurthermore, another brother in the faith, namely Purnama who came from Kediri-East Java and lived in bedeng 22, worked as a DPU (road repair) laborer.nnFrom the three families, namely Sastrisuharjo, Pontjoriyanto, and Purnomo, this arose a great intention to find the Church. Through relentless efforts and because of God's love, they finally found a church in bedeng 11G, then in Purwodadi and Margorejo (still in the form of an ordinary house). Two of the three churches hold their Sunday services in rotation (one week in Purwodadi and the following week in Margorejo). However, even though they had to travel long distances on foot and the place of worship took turns, the three families showed their loyalty.nnThen a fresh air blew, under the instructions of one of the brothers in the faith, namely Abiyatar Mardihusodo and with the help of the zending Kopernus and Kekenius, he was able to build a simple place of worship at bedeng 23, by borrowing Jayakarsa's yard. Thus the place of worship becomes close. It lasts a long time.nnThe existence of a church in bedeng 23 did not last long. Because of this, the place of worship was lifted and moved to Wonosari. Christians in Wonosari can worship in their own village. For the loyalty and persistence of the three families under Sastrasuharja's care, they became a blessed people. Increasingly, God increases the number of His people in Wonosari.
