Thieves. We were targeted by 3 guys and perhaps part of larger gang, who sold us a fake bus ticket for triple the price. They ran off when the bus arrived and we had to pay the driver the real ticket. Avoid this bus terminal to go to Bukit Lawang or Tangkahan at all costs!! Even the locals will warn you this place is dangerous and not to go there.

Bukit Lawang? Yes. Departure? Many. But be careful, this place is very unsafe! I knew it so avoided everyone. I reach the bus platform, ask to one man at a desk, pointed me the van and get on. Then 3 men open the door and ask me to pay, 150k!! We had a terrible argue they were madly agressive, locals were looking at us but no one move. The bus driver was looking at us, I ask him, is that the price he kept silence!! After meant I would go away they say ok for 50k. Then I saw the driver getting some money from them 10k. I understand after that normal price is 20k. So they give 10 driver and get 20 or more depends what they steal to you. Everyone Ive seen after paid when dropped of. Here is the picture of the Mafiosi

Be careful you might be overcharged.nWhen I got here it was Saturday noon but I was the only one that waited for bus. When the van to bukit lawang came, 3 other guys got in and insisted me to pay 150,000. The driver did not say anything. I thought it should have beenn around 30,000-35,000, so i told them, however they said my info was about 2010, in 2017 it is 150. The van ran for 2min and stopped. That 3 guys said if i dont pay, i have to get off the van. I paid 37,000 and finally they left. The driver kept silent.nEven if you want help from locals or drivers, they don't. They do not speak English and seems they do not want to get in trouble.nLater I talked with local passenger via google translate. It turned out locals pay 20,000 and foreigners do 50,000 to B. Lawang. I was lucky enough to have heard some bad stories about this bus terminal. I wonder why people from my hotel said this is safe.nTravelled in Aug 2017.

Terminalnya sebenarnya udh mantap,tapi aktivitas di terminal kurang aktif spti terminal pada umumnya.baru di pintu masuk udh terlihat tampang sangar².konon bnyak tukang palak.
