“I HAD A DREAM” that in 2020 for my 60th birthday I would spend 2 months in the Himalayas trekking to various locations. So the journey begins… I had a dodgey right knee, so I had it operated on in late 2017. This was followed with 6 months of physio, during this time, I was never able to gain full use of my knee, nor could I walk as well as I could before I had the operation. I consulted my doctor who suggested I continue on with the physio. I tried a different physio (closer to home) they took X-rays and noted that I had signs of Osteo in my right hip, the same side as my knee operation. After 6-8 months of physio, I wasn’t feeling any better, worse if anything. In frustration, I went back to my doctor who referred me to Nichole Hamilton from Synergy Physio at Peregian Springs. At my first visit with Nichole, I immediately felt confident in the treatment plan she outlined, she was genuinely caring, reassuring and professional, so we started the road to recovery. After the first couple of visits, I thought “boy” this is never going to work, BUT I persisted. Time went on (I did what I was told…most times) and I started to lose all those negative thoughts about not ever fully recovering. I started attending weekly Physio Group Therapy class’s (exercise class’s) with Caitlin, these classes really enhanced my recovery and well-being and complimented the work already done by Nichole, so they both worked hand in hand. They would write notes to each other on my progress, strengths, weaknesses and what areas I needed extra attention on, during my next visit. I started to get good movement back and the pain started to go, it was suggested that I should try their on-site massages to further compliment the other therapies. I visited the massage therapist Keely, she was so good, certainly one of the best massage therapists I’d ever been too. She would manipulate my muscles and “put me back together” I wasn’t the easiest patient. So here we are 12 months after I started at Synergy Physio, I can’t believe that “I’ve done it” I’m back to my youthful self and ready for the Himalayan challenges in April - June. I take my hat off to Nichole, Caitlin, Keely and the reception staff (Dani & Caitlin), I can’t thank you enough, I’m so grateful that my doctor recommended you. A million thank yous.

If Google would let me give Synergy Physio 6 stars out of a possible 5 stars, I would.nnAfter injuring my back and following the advice and training programs provided by multiple GPs and a different physiotherapist for almost a year, I had no noticeable improvement.nnWithin a few weeks of seeing Jess Morrin at Synergy, I was moving without pain and on the road to recovery. It’s now been six months since my first visit and I am training with more energy and intensity than I was before my injury. I couldn’t be happier and could not recommend both Jess, and the Synergy team, more highly.

The Synergy team are FANTASTIC. They really listen to what's going on with your body and how you feel. They take time to get to know you and your body so that they can give you the best experience possible for your individual body. Really appreciate all the support given to me during my time at Synergy and so thankful that my pain is now much more manageable. Thanks again!
