We did a 2 night stay at Bali Eco Lodge and stayed in the Harvest Bungalow right on the rice paddies. The view was awesome, the night sounds of the forest behind us out of this world and then whole stay was very relaxing.nI had a massage in the open air bale and that was just what I needed. great Balinese massage. To be recommendednWe did a garden tour through the permaculture garden where most of the food comes from, fresher you cannot get. And the water straight from a natural spring. When you taste it you can taste the difference between bottled water and natural.nThe visit to a local lady making coconut oil was eye opening A lot of work goes into making the oil. What is more amazing is that Bali Eco Stay supports the local community through tours like this. They are also supplying trash bags throughout 6 villages to prevent trash from going down the water ways. They truly are merged in the community.nThe food was absolutely great and fresh. The menus was adequate for all tastes and having to pick you next meal in advance is saving a lot of food waste as the kitchen only makes what has been ordered. The other advantage is that you order just after a meal so also don't over order (as you are not hungry at that stage) The rice balls, salads, soups, in effect everything we had was very good.nThe room was spacious, the bed comfortable and the view awesome. Just what we needed.nIf you want to get away from the madness of touristy Bali, this is the place to go.

A quiet, peaceful and very, very beautiful place. The surrounding nature is amazing (if you're into that); Coffee, cocoa, banana, papaya, mangosteen, pineapple, jack fruit and durian trees everywhere. Food is simple but well prepared from local resources. Bungalows were clean and well maintained and despite them being open to the gardens we had no problems with insects whatsoever. Not luxurious but close.

I stayed for 3 nights in the Buddha bungalow and had a great time! Although this type of accommodation might not be for everyone as it is an open styled bungalow, I loved the fresh air and sleeping to the sound of Balinese countryside.nnThe staff were always really nice and welcoming, never shy to have small chatts with you. Since I travelled alone, I appreciated this a lot. The morning garden tour is a nice element as it let's you know all the details of the food served in the resturant (which was healthy and tasty). If you don't like to walk around or stay active, there is plenty of space to relax and just enjoy the pretty view.
