Sapulidi Resort and Spa - Ubud Bali

This review is in 2part.nFirst I would talk about the staff. They have one of the best team around. Specially on the reception.nThey understands all your concerns and provides the best solution.nUnfortunately they couldn't provide the problem which I had. Which was not in their control.n2nd part. :hotel is location is good. Right between the farm with duck and other animal.nBut they have many insects and lizard in the room. We have changed 3rooms but they all had same issues. Choose before you book.

Location is not that great unless you rent a scooter and feel comfortable driving on the streets here. Yes there is a shuttle but if you miss pick up or drop off, your waiting another two hours. Bugs get into your room very easily even if you spray the doors with Bug spray. Restaurant on site is horrible....save your money and don't bother. Breakfast was pathetic. Only hot food was eggs and what was placed out was cold and not refilled. The rooms aren't bad overall, but they are noisy you can hear everything your neighbor does. If I came back to Ubud I would not stay here again. Good for one night but not multiple.

Sapulidi is located right in the heart of Ubud.. Resort cannot be seen from the main road as the road leading to the resort is very narrow but this place is huge.. We have booked the standard room and we were given room no 1 which was not good. It was kind of dark and no proper light.. it was poorly dimly lit place. We had a very small pool in the bathroom but it was scary as there was no proper light and also it had very bad odor of chlorine. Also there can be little more light inside the property because this place will scare you at night..nComing to breakfast that we had there which was decent and had good spread.. also the staff at the property were very hospitable and nice.nThis place though need some uplift..

close to nature, quite and excellent services

Really nice place close to Ubud center, markets and monkey forest. Less than 30min from the airport by car. Possibility to have massage in the SPA, to rent scooter at the corner and to book some activities from the reception. Note that you're in the middle of an organic rice field, means that if you are sensitive to the noise at night or afraid about little animals it might not be a place for you ... But if you like being in a nice greeny and living environment it's definitely a wonderful place to stay !nWe were not completely satisfied by the ECO part of this resort as we found disposable one time use toothbrush, comb etc in each rooms. Knowing that this country do not have waste management, it will most likely end up in the rice fields or in the ocean ...
