I came with my family in mid June and stayed for 3 days and 2 nights. We loved it. We had sites 15 and 18 because they were close to each other. We had a little less than 20 people. I really liked it that there was a water source between the 2 sites and the restrooms weren't too far. The image with the lake view is from site 15. Site 18 is the one with the tents. I took this picture standing from site 15. Since we had 2 sites, we placed all of the tents on one site and hung out and had all the food in the other. I liked site 18 a lot better than 15 because it had more shade and the layout was a lot better. Also, site 15 had ALOT of red fire ants on the tree. They were everywhere and the kids were afraid. Another not so great thing about the sites was the water. These sites aren't to far from the water, but the water is very dirty. To have access to clean water, you have to walk a little further and it is pretty clean there.nnOther than the fire ants, we loved it and would highly recommend this place for a fun family vacation.

I quite enjoyed how quiet the campground was, how we still got cell reception, how close to stores it was, and how gorgeous the stars are!! We recommend campground 12- even the park ranger said it was her favorite. :) there is plenty of shade, privacy, and is close to the water spigot/ bathrooms/ trash. Some deer even came up to our campground! There were 7 of us and we had three tents. We fit just fine.nThe only thing is that the lake... I wouldn’t recommend it for swimming. (Even if you have a river float.) there are leeches in the water. Fish came up and nibbled us. And the ground is covered in rocks and moss. If you have a kayak, a boat, or are doing fishing, then there is plenty to do. But I wouldn’t recommend swimming.nThere are no showers and the bathroom is a small upgrade from a portapotty. I still had a blast!

Pretty easy to find and somewhere in between away from civilization but really close to a small town, if that's what youd like. My campsite was solid and clean. I was able to get in and find my spot with no problem. It was a weekday so pretty quiet so I only waved to a few people.nnSome of the campsites were fairly trashed, not the worst I've seen but a little gross. Pit toilet could have used some love too but that may have been the day I went.nnOnly other complaint was that a few non campers used the entry parking lot to hang out briefly at night...with their car on...not a dealbreaker. Also the road is a little loud due to it being above the campsite, so loud trucks and motorcycles are really loud at night. If you get a deep spot away from the entrance, thatd be best.nnWater was great and I would love to bring a bike back and explore the trail. Would stay again.

Nice weather, needs more trees/shade. The staff could use more training and the grounds need better consistent cleaning and heavier patrol.n#1 need better access to lake.

Bathrooms have zero ventilation. Also no maintenance of bathrooms at all. So glad we brought lots of t.p.
