Scenery is amazing. We camped in the snow and it was gorgeous. The only negative is spaces are tight to get into and out of, bring your parking A game.

I stayed here for 6 days on a family camping trip. The weekend days were a little loud at night but you'll have that at a campground. The people who rolled up late on our last night there were particularly obnoxious but that's not really the campgrounds fault. The campground is across the street from the lake . We stayed at the walk in sites which were at the top of a hill all the way at the back of the campground. Our site was probably a quarter mile or so from the beach, downhill going and up coming back. Luckily we were at one of the sites that was fairly close to our truck, probably about a 100 yards. Some of the walk in sites were pretty far back and up a pretty steep hill to drag all your gear up. Bathrooms and showers were reasonably clean. All in all I would stay here again but it wouldn't be my first choice.

Way understaffed, and packed to the gills. 3/6 bathrooms out of order is unacceptable when you are at capacity. However, the proximity to the beach makes all the difference. Loved that we could see the water from our camper in spot 154. Trees were too close together, so we couldn't put out our awning and be ready to have lifters, because the sites aren't level. In spot 118 we didn't have access to our fire ring because of the placement. This is the most expensive place we've stayed all summer, but not the nicest. It's all about location and being close to the beach. There are some hike in sites at the back, if you want a woodsy camping experience that's not in desolation wilderness, I would recommend that, but it's quite a walk to the beach from there. I'd say the nicest spot for a rug is 190.

The camp sites are pretty good, but if you want a great site, get the sites that are in the back. You won't hear any of the traffic on the highway. The other reason it's getting only three stars is because there's no way to check in at Zephyr Cove when you arrive. Due to covid-19, you have to park and then walk across the street on the Lake side to check in and then walk all the way back. Restrooms and showers we're very clean every day we were there, which is always a plus, and the people were very friendly as well.

My wife is disabled so the things that I value may not be important to you. But I think that everyone will love this place.nThe hike in tent sites have a paved foot path that a power chair or scooter can ride on. And all the toilets i saw wea handicap accessible.nAnd the night sky was amazing
