A Lot of parking. The access to the beach had a boardwalk.

The beach was beautiful. People were social distancing. There was a lot of seaweed and jellyfish. I just went in ankle deep. I saw 2 boys get stung by the jellyfish. We had a great time. Had never paid to hang out at the beach until now. Some of the pay stations were not working so you had to walk around to find one that worked. That was a little annoying. We only stayed for 4 hours. You may want to go to a non paying beach location.

Beautiful white sand beaches. Water wasn’t as pretty as we liked but the beach and facilities are easy accessible and there is plenty of parking with a fee. The restrooms were pretty clean considering all the people there. There is also a little general store, I did not enter but it appeared to sell beverages and snacks.

Review based on primitive camping.nnFirst, the only downfall is the lack of primitive sites on this massive location and the fact that they are all so packed together.nOther than that, it's peaceful and beautiful with a ton of trails and waterfront view. Amenities include but are not limited to a large pool and splash pad. Great family location.

The absolute best state park in the south. As a whole, the Alabama state parks system may be the most underrated system in the country, and Gulf State Park is the crown jewel.nnThe amenities are second to none, and the park, like most Alabama parks, is enormous. The campground has full hookups and most sites are actually quite spacious and private. There are miles of beach front with free parking and the wooden bike trails through the marshes are incredible. My kids love the pool and splash pad, and the pool may be the largest I’ve seen at a campground.nnTheres a golf course, lakeside cabins, and a magnolia table type restaurant. Our family keeps wanting to visit different cities during the summer, but we just can’t break ourselves away from gulf state park. It’s that fabulous.
