Recently completed a 3 day, 2 night trek on Mt Rinjani with Jou Trekking. My friends had researched companies for our adventure with the mindset that we wanted to go with a group that was environmentally responsible. This was absolutely the right choice.nnNot only were our guide and porters ensuring that 100% of our supplies were packed out, but they were also collecting additional trash that was not ours to take off the mountain as well.nnThe gear provided for shelter and sleeping each evening was extremely comfortable, and the food provided was as good as you could get in a restaurant!nnOur guide and porters were extremely knowledgeable, kind, hardworking, and helpful - Rony, Andy, Suma, and Adi. By the end of the trek I sincerely would consider them our friends.nnAnyone that is looking to trek Rinjani has plenty of options. However, if you care about leaving no trace and enjoying this adventure to the fullest, you should make the smart choice of going with this group.
