Spending almost 3 months here in mid 2015 and 2014, my first encounter with wild orangutan, hornbills, sunbear, and saltwater crocodiles is in this place. If you fortunate enough, a pair of Hornbills could be frequently seen in the morning or afternoon near the main camp. To see orangutan, sunbear, and crocs, we need extra luck!

Great jungle experience. You can stay with the rangers and they take you in the jungle to find Orangutans.

If you want to see the Orang utans in theirs habitat.. You should go to here. (Rent for Ship (ketinting) Rp 200k/day - 20$ for 5-6 people; ticket Rp 20k- 2$/person: and fee for guide)... If u have group consts 15 members its will be Rp 60k/head-6$...) (for Foreign maybe have more higers price)

One of the spot in Kutai National Park. You can walk around the park accompanied by local forest ranger. About 15 minutes by boat from Kabo village in Sangatta. You can also see wild orangutan in this place. Make sure you come in the morning or late afternoon to see the orangutan,it is hard to find them at noon.
