Senaru Traditional Village

The place is quite simple yet beautiful.. takes you back to simple times...peacefuln. Worth checking out

Some people there are just so friendly. We talked alot, they offers me place to stay a night. Then, i try the combination of pinang, daun sirih, kapur, and tobacco. What they used to make their lips red and they chew it like gum, before throwing it out few hours llater. They are all super warm and friendly, so lucky to know them ❤ufe0f

We start our 3 days 2 nights Rinjani trekking from Sembalun and ends at Senaru, since Sembalun is in higher level than Senaru (less time consume to base camp before summit to peak). However most of the trekker will stay a night at Senaru before the day of the trekking. The village was beautiful and it is near to Sendang gile waterfall, you will rejoice the tropical rainforest scenery in Senaru and savanna scenery in Sembalun. There are many hotel, restaurant and convenience store here so no worry if you were to stay here either for Rinjani trekking or to enjoy the scenery of it.
